The first fatal leadership error most leaders make is over-controlling, aka micromanaging. Who likes to be told how to do something they already know how to do?

Our research shows that **72% of leaders** consistently overmanage situations where their input and decision-making is **NOT** needed.

Indeed, it is highly *counterproductive* when their performers or teams are perfectly capable of delivering the same, or better, results.

Micromanaging kills autonomy, passion and engagement. After all, if my manager does it their way *(7 out of 10 times)*, why should I waste time thinking for myself?

*It’s a fair question.*

**Don’t be like the 72% of micromanaging leaders.**
